Many of our guests Enjoy spending the day outside, riding bicycles along Kauai’s East Side! Ke Ala Hele Makalae (The Path that Goes by the Coast) is a picturesque, multi-purpose path trail that runs 4.1 miles between the Lihi Boat Ramp in central Kapaa and Ahihi Point in Kealia.
The trail also has 2.5 miles that run through Lydgate Beach Park, letting everyone have a wonderful day while peddling through paradise! Many people talk about the path being a wonderful way to walk, ride bikes, and explore Kauai’s breathtaking Royal Coconut Coast with Friends and Family. Let us know how you like to use the path!
For a more challenging ride, take a look at the Waimea Canyon Bicycle Downhill Tour presented by Outfitters Kauai! The half-day exhilarating ride begins at an altitude of 3,600 feet and goes all the way to sea level. The website says the tour stops to “marvel at the dramatic canyon cliffs and dazzling Pacific,” and says the tour includes “the best views you can get, without even breaking a sweat!”
That sounds Fun – and look at the view in the photo on the right! Looks like another beautiful way to spend time outdoors. Just remember to always be safe, wear a helmet, and bring water and snacks to sustain your energy!
Outfitters Kauai provides single-speed cruisers for their tours, with wide, comfy saddles (seats), high-rise handlebars, and disc brakes that are Fun and Easy to ride. On the East side, you can find bike rentals, safety gear, tips, and more fun ideas at Coconut Coasters!
